Once again....a month behind!

Hello Again!!!

We went to Utah for a Baby Shower! The drive there.....NOT so great! We always end up driving through snow. I REALLY HATE snow!!  The trip was really great overall because we got to spend a weekend with family and friends!! We sure do miss everyone and visiting makes us really want to move back. Here are a lot of pics of the celebration! THANKS to everyone for coming.. (sorry if you are not in the pics)

SO SO MUCH FUN!!! Love family and friends so much we wouldn't be who we are without any of you!

The drive home was horrible... We had a terrible drive because they closed I-80 and we had to take a different route home which added 3 hours extra to our drive and it was very unpleasant.. We also had a hard time leaving our friends. We made it home safely and that is all that really mattered; my feet however were very very angry and doubled in size during the drive. Thankfully I have a fantastic husband that unloaded the piles from the car and then came in and rubbed my feet and made me feel so blessed to have him in my life! I love him very very much  :)

We came back and were very homesick and had a hard time getting back into real life because we missed everyone so much. But such is life and we made it through!!

I went to a play of Beauty and the Beast at the local high school with some of the other Young Women Leaders I work with, we had a really good time and it was great to get out and enjoy time with people. I have sort of become a hermit because I am tired and Colby was doing a lot of work with school.

I have been feeling really lazy and decided that we wanted to go on walks. We went to Garden of the Gods a couple of times by ourselves and then once with friends, it was really fun!! I love hiking (walking) around the area because it feels like we are in Southern Utah with all the red rocks!! Brings a little home away from home!

The weather here is pretty crazy, I didn't know that we could experience every kind of weather in one single day. We had sun, clouds, rain, hail, snow, and wind all in a single day.. It was crazy. we had 8 inches a hail fall in about 1 hour, this is just a picture of the beginning.

Mothers Day Came and it was really great. I was a little disappointed with the weather but we still had a lot of fun. Colby and I went out shopping and had a good time at the mall. I got some new comfy shoes to wear while my feet continue to swell. Colby brought home some incredible flowers and I really loved them. They are beautiful.

In our shopping day for Mothers Day we also were able to buy the things we needed to prepare for little baby Majors to arrive. We got a carseat and a stroller. Super fun.

It is crazy to think that this is all coming so fast and it is almost here. I sometimes feel like I am in a dream but it is getting more real every single day. I feel very blessed and can't express the happiness I feel right now. I think we are ready for little baby to come. Here is the baby corner in the bedroom. (crib and dresser coming soon) This is what we have for now and it is so weird to walk by the room and see this stuff. I love it so much.

This is the last pregnant picture that I have taken.

I was feeling fantastic with the pregnancy and feeling really lucky that I felt so good, I guess I had to go through something... 3 weeks from my due date and I get to go to the dentist and have a root canal and crown! Oh the joy of sitting or laying in a dentist chair upside down for 3 hours!! Just as I got ready to leave after the x-rays were taken to check their work they informed me that the medicine didn't reach all the way to the bottom of the root! I wanted to cry.... The dentist told me to schedule another appointment to basically redo the medicine and get it all the way to the bottom. 2 weeks from my due date and I am back in the chair completing the rest of the procedure. The pain was really terrible but I tried to stay positive. I wish that I got a picture of the numb face but unfortunately for all of you I forgot to take a picture. Thankfully my teeth are almost back to normal and pain free. I am very happy that I the pain didn't linger too long.

We then celebrated Colby's 30th birthday. He was not thrilled to be turning 30 but I guess we don't get to decide whether or not we get older. BOO!! I am super horrible at remembering birthdays or throwing parties but I managed to pull off a small get together with friends. I had a great time playing games and eating. Thanks for the wonderful night.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY COLBY!! hope it was good.

One last final piece....

We have been in The Springs for ONE WHOLE YEAR (and two days.) We forget every time to post something monumental, but here we are letting you all know. We have enjoyed this past year, we have learned so much and definitely have grown individually and have grown closer together; the Lord has definitely been guiding us along this journey. It was rough at the beginning and times between now and when we first moved here, but we do love it here and we do feel blessed.

What's our deal?

This is becoming an issue; a ridiculous habit. We apologize for not posting in a long time. But we ask that you enjoy our updates on life and our adventure of becoming first time parents.

Let us go back to Christmastime. We decorated our tree, our house and went to our ward Christmas party...that's what we did before going home for Christmas.

Leslie loves Christmas and could not wait to get to decorating the house.

We flew home and were dying to get there but sadly, we did not take any pictures of us during our travels: none with Percy and his first flight. What a bummer!! Hopefully we will be better picture takers when we have a little one! HAHA We hung out mostly with all of the family, what a crowd. It was chaotic and the most fun. It was exactly what we hoped it would all be when we got to Utah.  We did get to hang out with the Warner's which was a lot of fun.

We were both visiting family so it wasn't super long, but worth every second. We wished we had time to spend with all of our friends but unfortunately the holidays are super busy and full of family fun.

We had to come home and it was very bittersweet! We were so sad to leave our family (I was bawling on the plane) it was horrible. But, we had something to look forward to.... Our first ultrasound that looks like a real baby! It was the most fun!! We were so excited to see the bones and all the little parts growing so well!!

We were asked to chaperone the New Years Eve Dance for the Youth. we had a lot of fun. We hung out in the kitchen and food room a lot of the time just because we met some really awesome people and they were really nice. Fun times at the dance!!

I started to get bigger and struggled to sleep at night so I tried everything people told me and nothing seemed to work. I was really frustrated and I tried everything like sleeping on the couch, propping myself with pillows, using lavender, etc. I resorted to sleeping in the bed by myself to see if that would work and so this is what Colby had to suffer through for a couple days until I figured out that it didn't work! He was pretty miserable but he was a good sport to try and make a girl comfortable. Percy felt really bad and kept whining to get him to come up to the bed and then eventually jumped down to keep him company!! He loves his dad.

January was a really busy month. Colby started the new semester and things got a little crazy, he has a lot of night classes and on the off days he has to work at night. We only get to really see each other on Saturday afternoons and Sundays. It is kind of hard but I found some crafts to do and spend a lot of time with the missionaries and Netflix!! :)

Valentines Day was pretty fun, we just spent the whole day together. We went to breakfast at the Big Bear Diner which I love and then we shopped a little bit at the mall. The evening we spent with a ward party (not our ward but we are good party crashers)!! They had a lot of food and there was a lot of dancing Fortunately I got a picture of Colby, I was unable to dance because I was not feeling super awesome and the jumping and moving did not exactly help my cause!

At the end of February Colby got inducted into the Chi Sigma Iota Honorary Society. It was a really great experience and I got to meet a lot of his classmates. He was super happy and pleased because this means he is doing incredible in school. The requirement is a GPA of 3.6 and above!! He is rockin' his school right now. I am very very proud! :)

We don't have many cold days here in Colorado it is mostly sunny almost all the time!! it is really awesome but we have had a few days of freezing weather and Colby has to walk a few miles to his practicum. This is sometimes how he has to dress to endure such rash weather changes!! haha you can barely tell that it is him!! And he pointed out he is conflicted between Gryffindor and Slytherin!! What will he choose?...

Conference Weekend came so quickly and we were so happy because last conference was super hard to focus because that is the day we found out we were pregnant and we were incredibly distracted and i couldn't listen at all. I listened so well this time around and really enjoyed the talks. Those men are all so inspired and it was great to just feel happy and blessed. We had the missionaries at our house to watch for 2 of the sessions and it was great. The day was beautiful and sunny so in between sessions we were able to go outside and enjoy the day together with the dog. He loves the sun!!

Things are going really really well. We miss home and miss our family and friends there but we are for the most part enjoying our time here in the beautiful state of Colorado. We did have to get new license plates so we are officially residents of Colorado!!

A few people ask for pregnant pictures of me and I am not one for posting them on facebook all the time but here are a few for those who want to see and for my own documentation of this incredible blessing!!

Hope that you all enjoyed the happenings in the Majors life, hopefully next time we will write a little sooner so we don't have to catch up so many months in a row!! Oh well at least we do it sometimes!! Peace Out everyone!! Enjoy the spring!

It has been way too long!

Dear friends, we apologize for our lack of blogging and knowing that it may have caused deep sadness and woe, we humbly ask that you have sweet mercy upon us for this.

But it gives me great pleasure to update you all on what has happened these past two months.

8 Years of Annoyance and Love
In September, we celebrated 8 years of love. I read something on Facebook that says, "I love being married. It's so great to find one special person you want to annoy for the rest of your life." I love Leslie so much and I know that I annoy her, but she is tolerant and will put up with great amounts of nonsense and she loves me no matter what sort of mood I am in. We were short on cash and decided that doing something simple would make this year memorable. So we wanted to check out this sub place called Firehouse Subs; it was decent but nothing to die over but it was a wonderful time to spend with each other. I took Leslie to buy See's Candy before this and she about died over that; so it was off to a great start. After that, we wanted to check out a mini-golf place that also had a batting cage. We played one round of golf and then went off to the batting cage. Leslie is very athletic and has always wanted to go to a batting cage together. I don't care much for it but this day was for her and I took a whack at it. I've been once to a batting cage but I didn't find it thrilling but this time I did it for her...totes adorb, right? We then came back to play another round of golf after hitting like 96 rounds of softballs and baseballs...I am a fragile little guy and the whole night my arms were a little flimsy from hitting; whatevs!

Food, glorious food. #welovefood
  Good looking fella, right there
My wife, what a powerhouse; she killed it.
HOLE-IN-ONE!!! What?!
My life would not be complete if I didn't have this beauty in my life.

October, this best month of the year!
I love this month and all of the wonderful times that we have. General Conference was amazing and full of great insight. Even though it is most excellent to hear from our leaders, I always struggle with paying any sort of attention, because #1: I am at home in my pj's and that makes it extra hard to focus, but this year, I did not fall asleep and I took some great notes...holla! Leslie knows how I struggle with my attention span and bought me a Spirograph from Target...#loveher.

My new toy and I love it.

Leslie got herself a piano and it was like an early Christmas for her; it was a priceless moment and she was super happy about it and the best part is that she got it for free...WHAT?!

My cute wifey and her new toy. #blessed

Also, this is the best month because of Halloween; it's my Christmas and I spent a lot of time making things and decorating for it.

I found this witch on Pinterest and brought her to life.
Apparently I don't have any other pictures of my decor, but nonetheless, it was pretty fun. This year we dressed up; Leslie was a witch and I was Igor.
I made the hat, which was another Pinterest find. It took cardboard and tinfoil and I hand painted the whole thing; it took 3 days to make it.

We took a trip to New Mexico with our dog
Leslie's youngest sister and her husband had a little girl in September and last month they had a huge family gathering and the baby blessing. It was a quick trip but we loved every minute of it. Even though Percy loves car rides, he knows that it is going to be a long one. I find that every time we go on a trip, we always seem to hit snags: low tire pressure, snow, ridiculous amounts of construction; it never fails, BUT...we got to be with family and meet our adorable niece. It was a fantastic time.

NOW!!!
School is going well and I am coming to the end of my second semester. It definitely has been challenging with a copious amount of school work and projects but I have been able to do some serious personal growth and self-awareness. I have met amazing people that are in the same program and we have made great friendships. Leslie is a rock star through it all and I am forever grateful and indebted to her for sacrificing what she had back home to come out with me and once again put me through school. I love her and am so in love.

WELL FRIENDS, THIS IS OUR UPDATE. I hope that you have been assured that we are alive and well and our still loving it here in the Springs. It did snow a couple days ago and is like 5 degrees; awesome!!! Until next time...
