To all of the wonderful moms that I know!

So, I know that it has been a little while since I posted last, and you might think that this post is a little late, but it is never too late to celebrate our moms.

I was browsing Facebook earlier today, when I came across a picture that was shared by  LDS Smile Podcast with a quote that says: "The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new. ~Rajneesh"
This is a true story!

I am so grateful for my mom.  She has been there for me when times have been dark, waiting with love and kindness.  I am also grateful for all of the wonderful mothers that I know that have been extraordinary examples to me.  I am especially grateful to my wife for being the love of my life.  I am grateful to know that she will be the mother of our children, who will rear them with love and devotion. I know that she will teach them all of the right things, she will teach them the Gospel and she will show them the same love that our Heavenly Father has given her and I.

I know I cannot control what gender of baby that we get first, or second, or third, or however many babies we are blessed with, but I hope that we have at least one boy, so he can experience what it is like to have a loving mother.  I know that this is the same way that our Heavenly Mother feels for all of her boys, and I know that it is important for all men and as Priesthood holders, to love our Heavenly Father's daughters, because He loves his wife, more than words can describe.

So, all of us men, remember to treat your wives with love and respect and do all that you can to make sure you will be with her in the eternities.  Here is a link from a  talk that was given in the October 2011General Conference by Sister Elaine S. Dalton: http://www.lds.org/general-conference/2011/10/love-her-mother?lang=eng.  It's a good one and all should read it.

I hope that all of you enjoy this post, especially all of you mothers.

Food glorious FOOD...recipe from Pinterest

So, what does a husband do, that loves his wife so much and wants to make her dinner, but is kind of cooking impaired....go to Pinterest; and yes, I have a Pinterest account and I am not ashamed, either.

Today at work, I got this panicking feeling of what we are going to have for dinner, because we always have our top 5 or 6 favorites; which we love, but let's be honest here, they get boring if you have the same dish once every week, maybe two weeks at the most.  So, I hopped over to Pinterest, (thank you Pinterest goddesses for helping a poor, mortal man such as myself for bringing joy to my wife's heart and helping me gain some brownie points....HUZZAH!!!)  *If you want to learn how to make it, go to Pinterest, go to my FOOD! board, and then click on the "35+ Recipes ground beef," and click on #4.  Enjoy!

believe me? Ask my stomach and my wife.

Okay, so that everyone knows, Leslie and I have an old blog; it's under colbyandleslie.blogspot.com.  But our new blog is colbyandlesliemajors.blogspot.com.  If anyone has any suggestions as to what we should call our new blog, submit a name on my Facebook page and the one that is the most creative, the winner will get a surprise. This surprise won't be lame, but it won't be expensive; just something cool, I promise.

I have found that this new way to blog is a lot easier to navigate, and easier to add pictures and videos.

It's time to do some catching up.

Love!
Leslie and I started a blog a while ago, and the last time we posted was in November 2010...uh! That's a problem.  Since then, we have been living our lives as a happily married couple and enjoying our life together.  I graduated with me bachelor's...woot, and Leslie has gone back to school.  There hasn't been anything too new that has happened to us.

Right now, Leslie is dealing with an over-active thyroid and for the past few days, she has been experiencing some super human powers...okay, not really.  We went to McKay-Dee hospital in Ogden last Friday and had to go to the Nuclear medicine department...it's not as freaky as it sounds.  There, they gave her a radiation Iodine pill that will make her thyroid go whacky and then it's suppose to drop and then they'll build it back up again.  It got a little crazy, because for a few days, we had to stay about 6 feet apart, had to sleep in separate rooms, and couldn't kiss and cuddle...it droves us both insane not to.  I think that she is on the mend.  She has to see a doctor once a month for six months so they can keep track of the progress.

That is pretty much it.  I'll keep you all posted and such.
